Dr. Kate Conti

Itasca Illinois dentist Doctor Kate Conti

Dr. Kate Conti holds a soft spot in her heart for the village of Itasca because she was born and raised here! She attended St. Peter the Apostle grammar school, St. Ignatius College Prep, and Illinois Wesleyan University. Today, she loves getting to know each dental patient and using these relationships to come up with custom treatment plans and offer education, so they can overcome their unique issues and reach their highest oral health potential.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Conti gives a lot of credit to her younger sister for where she is today. Even though Dr. Conti was a biology/pre-health sciences major in undergrad, her sister had the idea that they should both become dentists, so they could own a dental office and work together. This led to Dr. Conti shadowing a few dentists and working in a variety of practices throughout college and her summer breaks, and she fell in love with the profession. While she and her sister are both dentists today, they don’t work together but are very happy in their current positions.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After receiving her BS in biology, Dr. Conti earned her DDS from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. Since then, she has completed many hours of continuing education through Spear Education and the Kois Center, and she graduated from the Pankey Institute in 2022. On top of this, she is currently a member of the:

  • American Dental Association
  • Illinois State Dental Society
  • Chicago Dental Society
  • Chicago Academy of Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Therapy
  • Chicago Academy of Dental Excellence
  • Chicago Study Club (TMJ focused study club)

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Conti and her high school sweetheart, Mike, have been married for over 10 years, and they now have twins, William and Clare. As you can imagine, she spends a lot of time with her family, but when she can, she likes to travel, work out at Orange Theory, and cheer on the Chicago Bulls.
